Rome 14th
October 2002, 1:00 pm: the most antique
restaurant of the capital, which fundaments were built in the 14th
century, reopens after three years of restoration.
The mediaeval building, which is owned by the municipality of Rome,
has been restorated completely by the exclusive efforts of Gualtiero
Marchesi and Vincenzo Nicastro.
The project of restoration, which was supervised by the authority
of the protection of monuments of the municipality of Rome, was
designed and managed by the architect Francesco Giuliano. For the
furniture he chooses Poltrona Frau, considering the unique style
and the exceptional quality and design of the products.

The Hostaria dell’Orso covers three floors, a piano-bar, the
significant restaurant with its great view over the Tiber and at
the last floor the exclusive discotheque, which is also utilizable
for special events or a prestigious privèe.
In the Hostaria dell’Orso Gualtiero Marchesi presents his
philosophy of cooking, from his historical dishes from “RISO
ORO E ZAFFERANO”, “RAVIOLO APERTO”, “FILETTO
ALLA ROSSINI SECONDO GUALTIERO MARCHESI” to a refined rethinking
of the roman cuisine.
The restaurant is divided in 5 halls of diverse shapes and can hospitalize
up to 100 guests.
